This game is a surreal experience and extremely bizarre crossover that seems to actually work pretty well. Some of the pokemon who are paires with some of the samurai warrior characters are a bit unusual but the gameplay more than makes up for it and does the trick for any fan of strategic rpg style gameplay. This game came out a bit late in the ds life cycle and probably would have been more compelling if made for the 3ds with a more militaristic army of soldiers and pokemon mechanice but that is all that holds this game back. This game lacks absolutely nothing for a 3ds game.

Conquest is the unknown spin-off game of Pokémon that is an absolute blast to play. The different battle mechanics from the main series games and the lack of needing the touch screen like Pokémon Ranger makes it already an amazing thing to play. I absolutely love how the sprites and artwork of the Pokémon look and the music really grows on ya after multiple hours of gameplay. The story is definitely more unique than others and it’s very satisfying when you conquer/protect a kingdom. The only thing I have against this game is the Post-game content; which is so much longer than any Pokémon game’s post-story content. You will spend what feels like an eternity on over 30 Warlord stories and need to fulfill specific conditions in order to complete that story. The final story of Conquest is more of a victory lap since this is the first game where you can obtain and use Arceus; without any form of coding, action replay, etc. . Some mechanics make the game frustrating to play; like weather effects that hinder your Pokémon’s performance, having to get every warlord/warrior via battling across 30+ stories, and the possibility of them becoming ill or leaving your army; which is prob the worst of what can happen to you. The biggest sin this game has is no playground mode when you complete the final story. No going across any of the 30+ stories with the 17 kingdoms to have a chance to get every warrior and warlord with their perfect link without the need of story, no guarantee that they won’t suddenly leave; none of the post game mechanics that’s in Pokémon main games. You have 30+ stories to get every warrior and warlord their perfect link Pokémon and once you beat the game: you beat it. Conquest definitely deserves to be played and seriously needs a revival for just how good the game actually is.Read full review

I rented this game a while after it was released and came to like it and decided to wait a while on purchasing it and just didn't get around to purchasing it until a month ago and liking how it performs and the codes still work.

It's OK, although buying it now, that we have Pokémon X and Pokémon Y is a bit silly... Buy it if you are going to play it just when you are bored, but don't expect a BIG game, because it's not. You start with Eevee, and you can catch other Pokémon like Arceus...
Fun game and change up from regular Pokémon games. End game can be kind of tedious and repetitive, but still fun and very enjoyable

Another spin-off for pokemon and oddly enough its wonderful. In short its mechanics plays similarly to final fantasy tactics and devil survivor if your a fan of either series you'll definitely enjoy this one and if you want to know if your kids would be interested in similar game-play. This is a wonderful friendlier start then the two previous chooses.

A legend is foretold that the one who unifies all the 17 kingdoms of the Ransei Region (ランセ地方 Ranse-chihō?), will have a chance to encounter the Legendary Pokémon, Arceus, who created the Ransei Region. Warriors and Warlords all over the region sought to fulfill the foretold legend, thus bringing Ransei's peaceful era to an end in battles. The game initiates off in the Aurora (ハジメ Hajime?) kingdom, where the player dwells, as the player is proclaimed as the new Warlord of Aurora. The nearby kingdom of Ignis (カエン Kaen?) sends warriors to ambush Aurora, but falls in defeat against the player and Oichi. Oichi explains to the player that all of the other kingdoms of Ransei had become aggressive and hostile towards one other, in their own destiny of fulfilling the Ransei Legend. This initiates the player's harrowing journey of unifying other nations, hoping to restore peace upon Ransei. After conquering the kingdom of Ignis (カエン Kaen?), Greenleaf (アオバ Aoba?), and Fountaine (イズミ Izumi?), Oichi explains that Nobunaga, who dwells at the northern part of Ransei, is the main threat of the Ransei Region. After conquering the kingdom of Violight (シデン Shiden?), Chrysalia (サナギ Sanagi?), and Pugilis (コブシ Kobushi?), Oichi explains that Nobunaga's ambition is to fulfill the Ransei Legend and use Arceus's power to demolish Ransei. After conquering the two kingdoms of Terrera (ダイチ Daichi?), and Illusio (ゲンム Genmu?), Oichi hosts a celebration of Shingen and Kenshin's recruitment to the player's army. During the celebration, the player is confronted by Nobunaga, who holds the kingdoms of Avia (ツバサ Tsubasa?), Cragspur (キガン Kigan?), Yaksha (ヤシャ Yasha?), Viperia (ドクガ Dokuga?), Valora (フクシ Fukushi?), Nixtorm (フブキ Fubuki?), and Spectra (ミタマ Mitama?) under his command. Nobunaga informs the player and Oichi of their foolishness of opposing him and returns to his own kingdom of Dragnor (リュウ Ryū?). Finally reaching to the Dragnor kingdom, Oichi and the player is confronted by Ranmaru, Nobunaga's servant, as Ranmaru pleads to Oichi that Oichi shouldn't oppose Nobunaga, Oichi's older brother. Despite sharing the same "flesh and blood", Nobunaga, partnered with Zekrom, plans to annihilate Oichi, challenging Oichi and the player to a battle. After defeating Nobunaga and his army, the player discovers Infinity Tower, where Arceus appears. After linking with Arceus, the player is confronted again with Nobunaga, now partnered with a shiny Rayquaza, along with Mitsuhide, Nō (ノウヒメ Nouhime?), Ieyasu, Ranmaru, Hideyoshi into a final battle. After losing to the player and Oichi once more, Nobunaga reveals his true intentions, to bring peace to Ransei through the death of Arceus.Read full review
