I cannot believe this album is twenty years old! Heart of Stone received a lot of air play on local country stations while I was in college. I fell in love with the harmony Kathie Baillie used in that, and other songs. Interestingly, Kathie Baillie and Michael Bonagura recorded a version of Safe In The Arms of Love on this album. Martina McBride later would make a recording of it on her Wild Angels album. Many of the songs on Turn The Tide are very poignant, piercing. She Deserves You and Heart of Stone cut deep into the heart, discussing the ramifications of unfaithfulness and rejection. The same is true of Heartache In Motion and The Only Lonely One. On the other hand, Lovin' By Numbers is very much like a late 1960s / early 1970s song by the Mamas and the Papas. It is fun to listen to. My favorite song on this album is (Wish I Had a) Heart of Stone. The harmony and word pictures make this an exceptional piece of music. The idea of a hardened heart, brought on by a dying relationship, is painfully real. Most people have had such an experience at one time or another, and the desire is to protect one's soul from further injury. I bought the album predominantly for this song. Kathie Baillie has a very beautiful voice, and she harmonizes well. Overall, this is a very good country album for its time.Read full review

The smooth sounds, harmony is delightful when listening to Baillie & The Boys. I have always been a big fan of them but never bought any of their music. By buying on E-Bay I saved money and brought back a little piece of time in my life. Good music and great CD.
