About this product

Product Information

Orson Scott Card's The Lost Gate is the first book in the Mithermages series from the New York Times bestselling author of Ender's Game . Danny North knew from early childhood that his family was different, and that he was different from them. While his cousins were learning how to create the things that commoners called fairies, ghosts, golems, trolls, werewolves, and other such miracles that were the heritage of the North family, Danny worried that he would never show a talent, never form an outself. He grew up in the rambling old house, filled with dozens of cousins, and aunts and uncles, all ruled by his father. Their home was isolated in the mountains of western Virginia, far from town, far from schools, far from other people. There are many secrets in the House, and many rules that Danny must follow. There is a secret library with only a few dozen books, and none of them in English -- but Danny and his cousins are expected to become fluent in the language of the books. While Danny's cousins are free to create magic whenever they like, they must never do it where outsiders might see. Unfortunately, there are some secrets kept from Danny as well. And that will lead to disaster for the North family. The Mithermages series The Lost Gate The Gate Thief Gatefather

Thanks for great business, particularly your prompt communication & follow up with problems came up during auction. Great seller & deals. I bought 2 watches from them. They were even better than what I expected. Came in manufacturer box with all the certificates & stuff printed over it. The band & everything was cleanly wrapped in bags. I was worried that the band would be too shiny but fortunately the shine was from the wrapping nylon & the band & the buckle thing were matte. I recommend store.

For me, you are the most amazing, the coolest seller i’ve ever had. Not only because of the item that i purchased that really surprised me of the style , the way you do the packaging, which was i can tell you made it very secure. To think that the price is very reasonable ( actually for me is very cheap with this looking so cool wrist watch ). I know this will might makes you think of raising the price of your watches, but i hope not to me on my next next purchases 🤗, tnx.

  • Good Read, would buy from this vendor again.

Precocious boy (perhaps too precocious) coming into his own to save the world with his unique skills. Sarcastic and witty dialog, worldbuilding going on and a magic system that takes time to explain. The parallel dialogues was at first a little confusing as Card switches from Danny's story to the one of Wad, who's on the planet Westil. I would recommend this story for those 14 years and older, as there is some sexual content and very mild language.

  • Orson Scott card, who wrote Ender’s Game is back with another compelling sci-fi adventure.

    Wonderful Read
