Great game, very educational and fun for young girls!
Great game for my 4 year old daughter! My husband and I decided to get my daughter a DS for her birthday so she would stop begging to play with her older brother's; we weren't sure about what games to buy because most of them looked a little too challenging for her. So I researched a lot! She was entering her 1st year of pre-k so I wanted to find something than would hold her attention for longer than a few minutes (ya know the attention span of an active 4 y/o!) and something that would help teach her things she would soon be learning in school... I found this series of games and purchased Smartgirl's Playhouse 1 and 2. The first one was really hard to find as it is apparently pretty popular, but the 2nd was a little easier to find and the price was the best on eBay. There isn't a ... However, having a name like "Playhouse", it implies that there might be some sort of playhouse involved. For example, setting up virtual furniture in a playhouse, doing household activities, etc. but it consists only of "mini games". The game description is correct, it's just that the actual name of the game is misleading. I bought this game for my 7 year old daughter Matilynn, she truely loves the game. Im thrilled with the functions of the game for they arent about violence or fighting, she just recently got a Nintendo DS for I am a mom that doesnt really think kids need all those things and we are big readers here at our home. But in the end it has brought her a limited time (given by me)of fun with this game, and I am very happy for that. Great for younger kids
This has become my daughters favorite game......she is 4 years old and some of the other games she has requires to much reading to work thru the game. This does require some reading but she is able to play the game with very little assistance. She will play this game for hours much longer than she has played any of the others we have.
