Product Information

This romantic fantasy is the story of an extraordinary relationship that literally spans time. It begins when Sung, a young woman living in 1997 receives a letter from Unju, who leaves two years in the future. Somehow, the two manage to continue a correspondence across the flow of time and gradually fall in love.     Forerunner to Lakehouse with Sandra Bullock

    After seeing Lakehouse and giving it a C-. I left the theater a little confused and wondering what I had just seen! I decided to buy llMare to see if it would shed some light,since it was the movie that Lakehouse was derived from.After viewing,the story came together for me. The director managed to get the story flowing with less emphasis on the subplots.There appeared to be a few lighting problems in this foreign version,leaving a few scenes dark and a little hard to view,butI managed. I enjoyed the movie.I give it a B+,even with reading the subtitles. I recommend this movie to everyone.

    Really sweet love-time flick

    First of all, if possible, buy the special features version! =) It has a beautiful cover and interior. It was really great with the music, perfect blend I think. I just feel it was a great balance of personal life, interaction, emotion, and suspense. I think what's even more interesting is the use of young actors. Young adults in these kinds of roles manage to give it a better experience to me. The film had a good consistency, too. Watching the progress of their lives up to wanting to meet each other in Eun-Joo's time (actress) wasn't interrupted by one moment or another. I suppose my only wish, as in Ditto, is if the director created a thoughtful meeting between the two after all the communication they've done. I want to see more movies like this and Ditto! :D Perhaps one should note that ...

    Must Watch

    II mare... one movie which I consider classic. The storyline had a twist. I love it. Both actor and actress display a romantic picture. Really a must watch!

    I lOVE IT

    The movie is soo great and a wonderful love movie! People should watch it! She is without a doubt a cutie and he is hot! They both seem to have great chemistry. I wish i knew what happened at the end of the movie!

    Il Mare

    I thought this story was quite frankly, slow,predictable ,and a little boring. Ithink with a little more imagination and a lot more PASSION, it could have been better.
