    Used Sony Walkman D-FJ61 CD Player is a good option for books on cd

    I use mine primarily for listening to books on CD from my library, which does not carry a lot of mp3 style books at this time. I've tried downloading to an mp3 but it's a hassle. I think my favorite thing about this one is the wrist handle - it's prevented a lot of 'drop-portunities' and is easier than a separate belt carrier. Also like the external battery bay which is easier to load. I've had MANY cd players and SONY are the best. The only thing I don't like is that it's difficult to go back to the beginning or reverse/forward on the last section. Don't know why. Now if it could vacuum my floors...

    CD player worked

    I bought this same player for my mom last summer and she loved it. I wanted to get her a second one for backup. Yes it works but the sound is terrible. It is scratchy and tinny. I've tried it with 3 sets of headphones on cd and radio. It isn't the headphones. This should have been mentioned in the description. I'm disappointed the description and that I was sent a "tested" dud.

    It's a great value for the money.

    Even though most don't come with headphones or carry strap, this is a good little cd player. I was so happy to be able to replace the one my mom had. She is used to playing her cds on it and when hers got dropped into the washing machine....well...anyway. She loves it and it serves her purposes. Could be designed with easier to see knobs, but it's a good buy for the money.

    If you think your smartphone sounds good I challenge you to take a step back and see what you traded for convience. Sure the smartphone is a convient one stop shop but take a listen and I am betting you will be surprised as to all you been missing.

    Sony discman D-FJ61

    This sony disc man is awsome. It has 15 FM presets and 5 AM presets. The sound is excellent and only uses 2 double A batteries.
