  • Photographers quandary, Ultra II vs. Extreme III/IV?

If you're an enthusiastic digital photographer then a quandary awaits, the decision between many different brands of flash memory and formats. Thankfully helpful advice makes decisions easier -- the format is going to be dictated by your camera body and usually falls to SDHC or CompactFlash, and if you need to be assured of a fast and reliable product, it generally falls to two reputable brands who've made their names selling fast memory to photographers: Lexar SanDisk This review isn't intended to state which is better, the genuine article from either will keep you a happy photographer for many months and years to come. However it is intended to look at the speed of various products from SanDisk and take a holistic approach to doing a cost:benefit analysis - which is best? Marketing ...

  • SanDisk Extreme® III 4 GB 133x CompactFlash Card

The Package: I have several memory cards of different sizes and speeds, and this is my first 'high-end' card. The speed difference between this any my other cards is marked and noticeable, as is the quality of the product. It arrived with a disc containing an excellent utility for rescuing data from a corrupted memory card and appears to be able to work with any memory card as long as you have a USB card reader. The package also features a small pouch for carrying to 2 memory cards. I felt this was a bit of a gimmick - but was 'cute' all the same. The Card: The card arrived in an individual 'mini case' to protect it. Used in my Cannon digital slr (D350) I have noticed a hike in record speed and formatting. It holds in the region of 340 shots when using the 'full quality JPG + RAW' ...

  • Speed matters

I've never paid a lot of attention to the media I put in my camera. Was it big? That was all that mattered. When I scanned down through the listings that my Ebay search found for me there were a few selling this card raving on about it being fast. Fast? How can a card be fast? Surely all they do is hold information and some hold more than others. But having found a good deal on this Sandisk Extreme III, I was pleasantly surprised that it was very much faster than the cards I'd used in the past. The 'processing' time that my camera takes between shots is much shorter and downloading the card contents onto my PC is also much faster. Both things that I'd previously assumed I couldn't control. I've now found out that speed matters and I'm very happy to report that this card tick my new ...

  • SanDisk Card

Excellent product, wouldnt use any other brand of compact flash. Writes fast and never fails. Beware cheap immatations. I have lots of these cards and only use 4gb cards as i dont like to format them until i have backed up my files. Would reccomend them to any canon or nikon user.

  • Overall one of the best money can buy

Made for the semi-pro and high end canon dslr cameras. The 4GB is about the correct size for any card, ideal for most jobs from weddings to fashion. Plenty of room for shooting in RAW format and nice fast speed, for the cost and quality in my mind you can't buy better.
