E.T. teaches Elliott and his two siblings (Drew Barrymore and Robert MacNaughton), whose parents have recently separated, about caring and love while the children protect E.T. from the malevolent world of grown-ups. Elliott and E.T. become so close that they share emotions; as E.T. becomes ill, so does Elliott. The children end up going on a fabulous adventure trying to help E.T. find a way back to his home planet. The movie was originally going to be based on a story idea by director John Sayles, but after he removed himself from the project, screenwriter Melissa Mathison (Harrison Ford's wife) took over the script and made it her own. John Williams's beautiful soundtrack became forever linked to E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL.

Our kids liked the movie 🎥 E T back in the 90’s. Now there grown adults - they have kids so I wanted to buy the movie and share it with them. They enjoy it as well. Price was excellent. You cannot watch this movie on any app. So why not own it? That’s what I did. Love it!

This movie touched our hearts in more ways than one.
I bought this DVD because my Mom was in the hopital with pneumonia with the oxygen sensor that lights up on her finger and kept holding her finger up and saying ET to make ua laugh. She was a wonderful lady with a big heart and well loved. We stayed by her side for 4 weeks. My daughter never saw ET so Mom was going to watch it with her when she got home from the hospital which never happened. She was taken off life support on her 81st birthday and passed away 8 days later to be with Dad. I ordered the DVD for my daughter for Chistmas.
