It's been years but apparently Logitech & Windows have not resolved the issues with the software on Windows. Some things work fine and others don't. Having said that I prefer a trackball mouse and the Logitec brand has been long lasting for me. This one is designed to be used with either hand so a plus if you're left handed. I had one of these before and used it until it died. I'm happy with the mouse as I didn't want to spend a lot of money for a mouse but wanted a trackball mouse and they to be pricey so this used one is fine. The ball just falls out easily if you tip it so I have to be careful but it's okay so I'm satisfied.

This is my first trackball, and I'm having a pretty good experience. I tried it because I was having some thumb pain from using a mouse, and it has helped, though now I'm left-clicking with my thumb so it's not complete relief. It's not quite as accurate as a mouse, but it's close, and the mouse had movement disadvantages too. The biggest problem is the loss of the scroll wheel. I was able to overcome this about 90% (after several misfires - the Logitech software did me no good, and I can't remember the other ones I tried) after downloading X-Mouse Button Control. It's not super user-friendly software, but after fiddling around with the scrolling options for 'button 4' I've got a pretty good scrolling function. Without this software I probably wouldn't be using the trackball at all.

Used these for years. Excellent track ball type of mouse. I will use them until they are obsolete and they are almost there..

I absolutely have loved these trackball mouses for many years and still own and use 2 of them on the daily. I find them very handy for many tasks especially say for example when working with certain design based editors and such. While yes, there may be at a time perhaps some work-arounds some may need to find when keeping them up to date on usage these days with certain softs and such, I find those lil hurdles / hiccups to be dwarfed in comparision to the ease of usage and comfortability factor of thes long time loved and used by many type of trackball mouses.

Wonderful mouse and excellent supplier. Everything was exactly as advertised. I plan to buy another one for backup, in case these are no longer available when mine wears out.

I have carpal tunnel and this mouse makes my life much easier! I also don't need a ton of "navigational" space on my desk because it is stationary. My only complaint is that there is no way to program for mouse wheel functions.

I had no problems getting this to work, but was frustrated by a lack of scroll wheel. I knew it had no scroll wheel, and thought I could make do without it. I will keep it handy, just in case.

I recommend this product for those who have problems with stress in their hand. It relieves the problem; this is very easy to use, plug it into the computer and it's ready to go once the computer downloads the specifics, no CD needed. Functions very well.
