I replaced my jukebox CD player with a refurbished one of the same model, with guaranty. I wish SONY was making new jukebox CD players. I loved my old one. Since Sony is not making jukebox CD players like this one any more, I took the risk of buying this refurbished one. According to the technician who did the work, all parts which would wear out or break are replaced. I have a collection of about 450 CDs, including many older jazz and blues CDs, among the many others. I load it full, and then continuously play the CDs one after the other, so music is always on in my home, and I do not need to keep looking up the music which I like on line. That is a real plus for me. I have the CDs grouped by type of music, so I can get a variety of music. The last Jukebox CD player I had, of the same model, lasted over 20. years, so if this one lasts that long, I would not need to replace it. Read full review

I've had two of these and both of them broke on me. The first one started skipping disks after a couple of weeks so I bought another one. That one worked for a couple weeks and then had the same problem. I have one of them in for repair so hopefully they can fix it. I think it's the laser reader that needs to be cleaned. Both of these units I bought used, so its possible that I just had bad luck but I can't say I'd buy another one.

This machine is a bit slow and clanky, but it does what I wanted: it provides random play of individual tracks on up to 300 discs. Filled with my jazz collection or my classical music collection, it goes on and on. It works much better than Sony's 400 disc machines of the same era. It also is more satisfying than earlier editions which do not have an optical digital connection between CD player and receiver. With this thing going, I can focus on my reading or writing or room clean up while absorbing music I like--and only music I like. I am very sorry that Sony (and Pioneer) quit making multi-disc players instead of perfecting them.

This CD player does it all. It plays the CD then when it is done if you want it to it will move on to the next CD. Or you can have it shuffle the CDs. I love it so much. Sound is great to. I also like the fact that you can label the CDs for easy finding the one you want. Some CDs come with the information already on them and this CD player will pick that up. So everything is labeled and organized and easy to find. No more handling of CDs unless I want to move them around or remove them. Remote has every function on it that you need to move from track to track or CD to CD. You even use it to help you organize your collection. This is the best thing to come along for CD listeners..... I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Regarding Sony MegaStorage CDP-CX355 CD Changer. A fine unit. CDs must be scratch-free or they will not play! High-end features are primarily designed to work with other Sony high end digital products.Keyboard connector is a great feature. I payed US$99 for a (new) surplus unit built in 2002. Owners handbook and remote w/ batteries were provided. BEWARE!!!! The Sony MegaStorage CDP-CX355 CD Changer was not designed and does not ship w/ exterior mounted foot-pads. So be advised, it will certainly scratch your furniture, etc.
