This is what I listen to growing up and it brings back many good memories. I love listening to the 50's and 60's music. I am new to E-bay and I would say the 90% of my purchases have been very exciting. I have been pleased with the results of all but two groups of items that were purchased. (Clothing) I was mislead in the add to think the items were fairly new and when I received them they were quite old and not all of the same size in which the add portrayed. But I am still going to be an E-bayer. This will not stop me from purchasing from E-Bay. Cheryl
Gene Pitney was singing the 60s ballad song before the Beatles became poplular, making him one of the hallmarks of the 1960s pop era. Almost inspiratoinal in the delivery of each song, the stirring ballads Pitney sang could move your soul. Even today, if you really listen, you might catch the fleeting glimspe of a timeless message on the pleage of eternal love -- as it was measured then. They were young, beatiful songs sung in he right place and the right time ... and as only Pitney could deliver.
He was hands down, one of the "Greats" from his (and mine) era!

It is great to hear some of the old music that does not qualify for the 'Top 100 Golden Oldies' We had the best music ever...60's/70's... It is a good collection of Gene's Best.
Since I loved Gene Pitney's music in high school, it's no stretch that I very much love this album. I think every household should have at least one of his albums/cds.
