Fits my old Craftsman saw with minor shaping
The Zero Clearance Insert fits my 20yr old Craftsman table saw with only minor shaping. It is well-made and solid. I'm using it mostly to mount a set of Microjig Splitter/Kerf keepers. Works just fine. I did adjust the front metal retainer to make it more secure holding the insert down, and made a hole for a screw at the back. Bought 2 so I could use one for a dado blade, and I'm glad I did. Much easier than making my own, due to the rabbet needed along the edge. Too much work for the money
These are too thick and required too much customization for me. I had to adjust the fit and when I wanted to do a 45º angle the insert hung down too low for me to move the blade. I will just make my own from now on.
