I had this when it originally came out, and replacing it. This is still one of the best Depeche Mode sounds. On the "heavy side" in a way. A must for new and old fans.

I had this tape back in the day when it was first released. I got into the metal scene and forgot all about my eighties and early 90's likes but, alas! now that I'm older, I like to have more mellow sounds and a more diverse collection. The cd is good, sure it's no "Violator", or "Music for the Masses" but it has great tracks like "One Caress" and "Higher Love"(?). A must for anyone with a collection.I had this tape back in the day when it was first released. I have loved this album since I first checked it out of my local library in middle school (for reference I finished undergrad in 07). I finally decided to get myself a copy of it. I still love it. It's intense and appeals to my current love of recent industrial and (very) heavy alternative. For reference my favorite band are NIN, Tool (anything by Maynard James Keenan). The thing about this album is that while it appeals to my heavy side, it still appeals to my love of 80s pop. Depeche Mode was way ahead of their time, in my opinion. My favorite track on this album is Walking In My Shoes (in my top 5 of all time fav DM), with Judas following at a very close second (also in my top 5).I have loved this album since I first checked it out of my local library in middle school (for reference I finished undergrad in 07).
