    Surpisingly excellent lens. Very sharp.

    I bought this as a walk around lens not expecting much. Well I was pleasantly surprised when I compared it against the Oly 17mm f/1.8 prime and the Oly 14-40mm f/2.8 Pro showing very little difference. Comparisons were in dim light and another at bright outdoors at 17mm, at f4, f8 and f16. The red colours were just a little more intense and a red led light was a little blurred but overall, very little to distinguish the three lenses. The main limitation is of course the max aperture which varies with the focal length and so at say 42mm you will get only f5.6 which may bother you in dim light conditions. Overall for a cheap lens, this lens I would have to rate as excellent.

    Value for money

    This lens is ok for the price but the picture is definitely not as sharp as the Olympus 45mm prime. Great being able to zoom in and out using the DJI app. Lens is a good compromise between owning two prime lenses.
