Road tested these tights on 19 April 2024 (met office advised: 10C, feels like 5C, strong NW wind, 29mph gusts). There was a sprinkling of rain for a short while and a lot more spray from earlier rain still sitting within ruts/potholes. I was aware of the rain penetrating the tights (they're not waterproof) but I remained warm throughout my 3hr ride (they're certainly windproof and sufficiently insulating - in my opinion). All in all, YES I'd recommend these tights. Padding? Not sure yet.
