I bought another for the sound system at church. We have an old analog system and a new digital Roland that are interconnected by two keyboards and an electric drum set. Without these filter/isolators the Roland picks up hum from the analog setup. The interconnect exists so people can practice on the analog set (which has it's own speakers) without the need to turn on the Roland. The interconnect is a permanent arrangement, no cables or wires need to be moved for practice or church. The combo 1/4" and XLR in/out was a requirement. We have active DI boxes that run from phantom power, but they are more difficult to set up. The Pyle Hum Eliminator just works.

Quality of the box and connectors is good. It performs ok as an isolation transformer. I like that you can connect either TRS or XLR, on either the input or output side. I also like that it is an affordable option. I opened the box to look at the build quality, and the quality of the soldering was mediocre. There were dull solders that indicate cold soldering-- which might work fine, but doesn't instill confidence that it will hold up over time. However, if there is an issue, it is laid out so it would be fairly easy to test & repair. Note, if you use this with a guitar, say, before your effects, you will want to use a "buffer" pedal, as this will likely "load your pickups" and cause a loss of level and high end. If you are looking for a higher quality isolation transformer, Radial makes the SB-6. But it is much more expensive. This is a much more affordable solution.Read full review

Money well spent! This thing WORKS! Purchased a used amplifier online which I considered to be a piece of garbage as it has very serious grounding issues and I could not find a place in my area to have it repaired and I didn't want to spend another $100 for return shipping. Decided to try this Noise Eliminator and it is a MIRACLE how well it works! No static, popping or hum can now be heard through my faulty amplifier. I love this Noise Eliminator which I highly recommend to everyone with amp noise.

My current setup is an analog rack that includes headphone amp, preamp, and patch bay. This is going into my audio interface to my monitor controller that holds the monitor and my subwoofer. This elimator got rid of whatever ground loop that was occurring. I'm also sharing connections with 2 fans, two computers, and an xbox. All coming out of one outlet hub on one wall so I'm sure there was going to be some sort of ground issue. I no longer have any issues with white noise when my Nano Patch controller is turned to the max or at any volume. A great buy for me at least.
