I drink a lot of coffee, and although NYC has famously good water, my building has famously bad plumbing. I drink bottled water, but for coffee I use a Britta pitcher. Still, I'm really pleased to be able to run the water through one more filter. I can't tell if the extra filter is slowing down the brewing process a little, but even if it is, I'm ok with that. I should time it both ways, and also time it after a month to see if the filter is clogging up. That's how I know when to change, my Britta filter... when it takes too long to fill the pitcher!

It is almost impossible to get this filter and housing positioned in the coffee water tank. Do not recommend this product. Hamilton Beach could have made it easier!

It was advertised to work with all Hamilton Beach Brewstations, but doesn't come close to fitting mine. And not an older model either. Bought my Brewstation 8 months ago.
