I used this to replace a mechanical timer that was no longer turning the time dial, but the motor sounded like it was still running. This one has many more timing options, but I only use the once on, once off per day to control an outside light. I had a little trouble wiring it, but it was my own fault. You must jump the Line in to one or both of the timed circuits. They clearly state that the jump wires are not included, but I didn't read the wiring diagram correctly the first time. After correcting that, it has worked flawlessly. The only negative I see so far is the computer is supposed to be backed up with a battery in case of power failure, but the battery is not readily visible, and there are no instructions on how to replace it, so when it dies, apparently it is no longer protected against power failure.Read full review

Installation was easy. Programming was a little challenging. China instructions not to clear. Overall a great timer for my pool filter pump.
