Too Old for modern cameras-get the MR14-EX Clones-adaptor ring very expensive-look elsewhere
Yes it will work, only in full manual mode. You only get full output and you can go right or left light. So yes it's better than nothing but you have to take a few shots and play with ISO, exposure and f stop first. No TTL no ETTL, no high speed sync above the limit of your sync speed. The inside where the adaptor attaches is about 58mm and you can make your own adaptor ring from a step up/down ring like I did. Took a 58 to 62mm adaptor and filed down the inside one to make it snug. I do get pretty good results but the Chinese knock offs are full ETTL For a few bucks more go with the Youngling or Neewer. Attention amatuer photog's
The ML-3 TTL Macrolite is an older version of Canons ring flashes but it is an excellent choice for the amatuer photog who wishes to experience macro photography without paying premium dollars for the newest and coolest canon has to offer. It is simple to use but does take a bit of practice to get the shots the way you would like.
