Great alternative to Nexus or Nxs2 if your on a budget
2000's are for pros, most people that buy them aren't just learning. I owned 2000s when they came out but sold them a few years ago. I am now getting another pair...... 1 down 1 to go! The reverse feature is one of my favorites, and the platter is butter sauce. Not to mention I love the screens layout I don't need the qwerty search or touchscreen. Pro all the way. Everything about the first 2000 is legit but..... the cons are.... The newer models have better sound quality touchscreen more cue points more audio file compatibility, mainly Flac I believe. Only reason to buy Nexus or Nxs2 is if you throw shows ands the djs have them in their contract. Or if you want to rent them, the pros and traveling djs do prefer the newest model. When you take the step to growing up (aka being a professional DJ), the first thing you need is some pro-level gear. Don't hide behind a laptop (we know you're just playing solitaire), use the CDJ-2000 full color screen and easy navigation to search and select tracks while viewing waveforms and all pertinent information right there on the player. And when it comes to bells and whistles (when say that I mean awesome features), the CDJ-2000 has your back! Beat juggle with user selectable hot cues, create awesome loops manually or easily with the loop functions, scratch up your digital platters with high fidelity using the spacious and adjustable jog wheels. Don't forget the digital sound outputs that guarantee your set sounds good (as long as you aren't playing those crappy low bitrate ...
