Reliable Verizon Atlernative to Nextel
For businesses who don't want to deal with chaos that is Nextel/Sprint Customer Service, there is Verizon with their $5 extra per month Push-To-Talk service. This phone is the real workhorse of that service. It's a good looking phone, good reception in previously troublesome area, average battery life (much better if you get an extended battery), and has a decent speakerphone. It's not the fanciest of phones, but it has the color screen and internet browsing in addition to the PTT. It's a business phone, that's what it's made for, and that's what it excels at. Verizon doesn't have an extensive PTT fleet like Nextel, but if you are planning on having 5 or more employees with the ability for Instant-On Communication, pick up a handful of these, and turn on the PTT Feature on your Verizon ... These phones definetely deserve a 5.0 HONESTLY Well I will describe them in the way that i owned them what happened and then pros and cons. 1. The first phone was a big upgrade then what I had before. My dad had one and then I had one as well. It was cool and worked. It continued to work until I dropped it on the hinge and the screen went on and off a lot. So I got a replacemement model. 2. I owned this phone for about a year. I got tired of the frequent shut downs and restarts and all that, and i tossed it and i broke the screen. I almost took off a lot of the rating because of that, but was given a 4700, that COMPLETELY blew this cons away. It was an automatic 5.0 3. After my 4650 was having issues, they had an updated version which was the LG VX4700. I purchased it because, it was ... It seems sometimes that the screen went out and the battery wasn't that great after dropping it repeatedly etc. It never gave up and it finally shut off for the last time in 2008 like 3 years after I got the phone. It was an amazing update over the 4650. I'm glad that verizon convinced me to get that one. PROS: for the first 4650, it died a lot with full charge, I considered getting the extended battery. When it broke all of the answers of battery issues were resolved as it must have been the phone in some way. Durable: I cannot tell you/or count, how long I dropped this phone. All of them were heavily scraped. 4650 first one even got dunked. It didn't work for 4 days after and I was convinced I would have to switch. Tried to power it on again and if it didnt work was going to go get a different phone, well it turned on and I used it right after that. I miss that Verizon stopped giving all of the accessories to you with the new phones like they did with the LG phones. I wish that they'd do that again. It was a very good phone though! Go get it today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had no problems with this type of phone. I have had the phone for just about two years and i love it. I am a person that is not very good at working electronics, and i have found the phone really easy to use. The push to talk feature is very easy and wonderful. I have had no problems with the buttons pushing in my pocket or in my purse. The screen on the front of the phone is another wonderful feature. I have not had any problems with it breaking at all, but i am also very careful. IF you are rough with the phone of course it would break along with any other cell phone you would buy.I have had no problems with this type of phone. Run/own/manage a boarding stables in Montgomery, Texas; have dropped in water, horse steped/stomped on it; dog played with it.; cat wizzed on it,; just keeps right on going. I could NOT be HAPPIer with any cell phone I have owned. Have purchased newer cell phones.; and always return to this one..
