Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22 was originally released for the PlayStation in Japan in 1995 with a European edition following two years later. The 2D fighter finally reaches the United States as the popularity of the animated show on which it's based continues to exhibit robust staying power into the early 2000s. Although the title suggests 22 playable characters, each with an arsenal of unique moves, kicks, spins, slashes, and specialties, an additional five bonus characters can be unlocked with one command, including Master Roshi, Kid Goku, Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Vegeto, and Mr. Hercule Satan.<br><br>The roster of regulars features Goku, Gohan, Goten, Kid Trunks, Gotenks, Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Great Saiyaman, Supreme Kai, Vegeta, Zarbon, Recoome, Captain Ginyu, Frieza, Android 18, Android 16, Cell, Dabura, Majin Buu, and Super Buu. Individual battles are won or lost based on player prowess in controlling their characters' skills, such as concentrating energy, close-up fighting, running, jumping, levitating, and defense.<br><br>Gameplay modes include one player versus the computer (all characters), two player (requires two controllers), and Championship (one-on-one, 16-player tournament bracket). Championship mode allows one player to control up to eight of the 16 fighters or join with seven other players. Build Up training and Build Up Battles allow players to experiment with character moves or fight one-on-one against another player, with either player having the option to turn control of his or her character over to the computer at any time.

    I have to be honest, I shouldn't have bought this game. Not as good as I thought. However, this is not the your fault. You sold me a perfectly working, well conditioned game at great speed. So, next time i'm thinking of buying a ps1 game, imam make sure its as good as I remember lol and if it's really worth my time then imam buy it from you because you hold true to your words and promises

    This is awesome. I have always wanted this game for a very long time now and finally I have a brand new copy of it and for an excellent price too. This is great. This game has it all and I love Dragonball Z. I am really surprised to find this game brand new since it has been several years and the PS1 is not around somewhat anymore. I like this game because i have always wanted to play it and Dragonball Z just rules period man. This game is up there along with the new ones for the other systems out there today. This is nostalgic and I highly recommend to anyone especially if you love Dragonball Z. A great collector's item too. the graphics aren't like today's graphics but still, it is worth playing and having a copy of. Trust me because when it is gone...it is gone.

    Fun game and great to add to the collection.

    Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22 basically brings the butoden games for the SNES to the Playstation. Controls are practically the same, however, the game is mainly only good for wasting time and enjoying some old memories. Beating the game or with a cheat you can get 27 characters and do as many random battles as your heart can stand. On certain pair ups, the fighters even have a little trash talking animation.

    If your a dragonball fan..get it!

    This Is a older dbz game from japan, re-released in america. The graphics are nothing special but the game play is pretty fun. If you are a big dbz fan I would recommend this game! However, don't expect anything close to the new dbz budokai and tenkaichi games that are out. For Under 10 bucks, its worth the money.
