Stated First Edition with Harper's date code I-P (September, 1940) . Beige cloth cover is worn at corners and spine caps, with bumped bottom corners, fraying to spine caps with small, chip to spine strip, and light soiling and damp stain to back, cover. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Gouge, in top page edge affecting 15 pages having a crease and small, tear in upper gutter. Former owner's name along with, bookseller's stamp on half title page. Light creasing to first, 4 leaves. Otherwise, pages are clean and very good. .
