Product Information

Micro Machines V3 continues the whimsical toy racing series that has appeared on multiple platforms since 1991. Once again the action is viewed from an overhead perspective, only now with 3D modeled vehicles and tracks. A total of 32 Micro Machines, from tanks and boats to helicopters and cars, can compete on 48 courses held within such offbeat locales as a backyard, school desk, pool table, beach, science lab, and more. Power-ups like hammers or missiles can also be found on each course and used to hinder rivals. Single-player modes include Driving School, Head-to-Head, Challenge, Time Trial Challenge, and Time Trial Single Race. <br><br>"Driving School" is a practice mode, "Head-to-Head" pits you against a computer opponent, and "Challenge" features a series of three-lap races against four computer opponents. Both "Time Trial" modes have you trying to break one or more speed records. Micro Machines V3 also features dedicated multiplayer modes supporting up to eight players on the same screen. (The latter requires a Multi-Tap with two people sharing each controller.) If a player lags behind the competition, he or she is automatically removed from the race. Multiplayer variants include Single Race, Tournament, Teams Mode, and Party Play. Key statistics for each mode are automatically tracked and saved to memory card.

    Fantastic for parties

    Micro Machines has always been a fantastic party racing series, and this is one of the best in the series, only behind V4. The controls are rock solid, the driving model is fun and varied between the many vehicles, and the track and world atmosphere is universally liked. Always a great choice.

    Fun game for multi-players,racing with no split-screen

    I really like this game which I guess now is a classic. It is like racing mini r/c cars around silly tracks that you might make in your house with tables, chairs and ironing boards, etc., or in school or at the beach. Even though the graphics are now antiquated, it is still a fun game and my family still enjoys playing it. And multi-player doesn't split the screen - instead if you get too far behind you simply are eliminated out of the heat and wait for the rest of the racers to finish, which is usually only 10 or 15 seconds before one person gets far enough ahead to win the heat. Then you all start again. Great fun!

    Micro Machines V3 (Playstation)

    A fun, unique racing game. Quick levels. Unique, in that the levels are counter tops, small ponds, beaches, etc. The weapons you get armed with are little missils, or a huge hammer. Fun for older kids

    Great PS1 game....first game I played on PS.....Changed my mind on PlayStations, I didnt like them till I played this game....Glad I found it!!!!
