I have always, in the past, been a fan of Craftsman tools. Sadly, the famed Craftsman warranty now has caveats which makes it useless. I like the "design" of Craftsman tools; however, when they break, and all tools may break, you are left with replacing the tool because of a "caveat" of the replacement warranty. This is why I chose to go with a Proto ratchet to replace my Craftsman ratchet that broke and was not covered by an in-kind replacement. The Proto is of robust design, perfectly adequate for the purpose intended, flawless fit and finish and priced right. I will chose Proto for all future wrench replacement.

Ratchet head is wide but thin, best for certain situations. Action good, old school Proto quality. Same head design and innards as Proto 1/2" drive. 150 ft/lb torque wrench.

It is not flashy. It is very precise and rugged. If it turns and clicks even one tooth it will do the job. It is close to being a forever tool with its quality and durability.

Great product for DIY people and not breaking the bank.
