EA's long-running first-person shooter franchise leaves the world of soldiers and war in favor of cops, robbers, and urban combat in Battlefield Hardline. In the single-player campaign gamers guide new detective Nick Mendoza on an episodic crime drama set in the streets of Miami and Los Angeles, and the choices they make can drastically affect future events. Multiplayer fans can take on a number of different modes as a police officer or a criminal, using more than 30 new gadgets, weapons, and vehicles to do battle across nine large maps designed for speed and destruction.<br><br>Hardline's single-player mode offers seven extra cases outside of the main campaign, and while Mendoza can use the latest weaponry to neutralize his foes, he can also employ less violent means to solve crime, including flashing his badge to strike fear in criminals, using a scanner to tag evidence and build case files, and tossing shell casings to cause a distraction. Hardline features traditional multiplayer modes like Conquest and Team Deathmatch, but it also offers five new modes, as well as the Hacker mode, an updated version of Commander mode from Battlefield 4, in which gamers act as technical support for their squad, hacking into cameras, emptying gas lines, exploding transformers, and tapping into GPS systems to reveal enemies or conceal teammates.<br><br>Three new large-scale multiplayer modes in in Hardline include: Heist, in which criminals try to break into vaults and make off with the cash, while cops try to stop them; Blood Money, where both factions collect money from a crate at the center of the map and try to return it to their respective armored vehicles; and Hotwire, where the cops and criminals are both trying to acquire marked cars. The game also offers two new, fast-paced five-on-five modes in which players have only three minutes to complete their task, and there is no respawning. In Rescue mode, cops win by saving a group of hostages or killing all the criminals, and criminals win by killing all the cops, while Crosshair mode finds criminals attempting to kill a government witness before he gets to the extraction point.

    Great Game

    It is different than all the other Battlefields. Good Guy vs Bad Guy. Wipe out the Gangsters and be a bigger bad ass than they are. Great car chase action and it will give you an adrenaline rush. I bought Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. They are two of my favorite games. Excellent graphics and great story. I like Hardline because of the Gangsters Element. It's War of a different kind and the Battlefield is your HOOD....(I'm playing both on my pc) and the controls work fine. We'll after writing this I have an itch to take care of more Bad Guys.....so the game is calling...buy it you will like it...I don't normally leave feedback but I feel Hardline is Hardcore fun..It really does rock.

    As to be expected from the Battlefield franchise, the game is great as ever

    Although this game in the Battlefield series is very different than it's amazing predecessors. It is a great fresh take on fast paced, action packed shooting that feels like Battlefield's push toward what Call of Duty games have always hoped to be. Other than a few mishaps, such as gun imbalance, the game is pristine.

    Origin RUINS ALL the games on it. RUN AWAY FROM THIS!

    This is a game you MUST use Origin with if you did not know this, I didn't and if you do not have very fast Internet than it wont work, if you do not put this on an SSD card it wont work very well if at all. I loaded the FIRST mission and because I have it on a regular Hard Drive 7200 RPM bla bla bla I fell asleep waiting for it and when I woke it was STILL not going to load. Read the comments about massively SLOW start up for the game and Internet. BUYER BE VERY WEARY. I have a monster of a computer and it wont work. ORIGIN IS HORRIBLE AND USELESS RUN FROM ALL THEIR GAMES!

    I would buy from this member again. Great game.

    I am still playing the game. It's great! Runs flawlessly. Controls are a little tricky. If you enjoyed BF4, you WILL enjoy this one. I like "shooters" because of the action in the games themselves. I would NOT recommend this type of game to a child.
