There were screws inclosed for assembly but only a few of the holes were predrilled and they were crooked (example the two visible on the handle - one is on the top and one the side). The appearance is decent but the stain is not like the photo, but rather an orangy amber color.

The two pieces that you attach to the base did not fit tight so I had to insert two shims to sturdy them.
