    OK, but not expected quality

    This stripper was purchased to strip fine, solid wire for prototype electronic work. The wire usually has Kynar insulation, which is thin. Most often, the wire is 24 or 30 awg. The stripper did strip the 30 awg wire as received, but it did not strip 24 awg using the slot for that gauge. Using the slot for 26 awg, it stripped the 24 awg wire, but badly nicked it. I added some electrical tape to the end of the stripper jaws so it wouldn't close as tightly, and after that modification, it usually stripped the 24 awg using the slot for 26 gauge. Of course, then it wouldn't strip 30 awg wire. For consistent stripping of 24 awg wire, I have to insert the wire, close the jaws, rotate the wire a full turn, then pull to remove the insulation.
