    Love these books. I love the way John Saxon organized his math books. Taught math using this book for many years. Saxon math books were my favorite.

    I like it- old school Math!

    I looked over this and it looked like great content for any kid wanting to pursue the sciences. I am more of an old school Math person. I don't believe learning all the definitions will get you where you need to go. Quick ship and I like the extra workbook and answer key so I can help my daughter do problems outside the class, they aren't doing in the class. Her class is only using the textbook ( which may be delayed due to COVID ) but a nice product for a homeschooler, advanced Math student or coop math group.

    Saxon Algebra 1/2

    The Saxon program is a great choice for many homeschoolers, especially in the elmentary grades. Many charter schools are using it as well. Basic skills and the new concepts being taught are continually reviewed. The guide helps parent-teachers who want some guidance or teachers who are not confident in math know exactly how to teach the student. I see two major limitations of the program for middle-school and higher levels of math. First, the problems related to a given concept are presented the same way, so when a student sees problems from another book on the exact same concept, it can be confusing when it shouldn't. Second, there are not as many applications/word problems as I think a middle school and higher text should have to help the student understand the math (rather than ...

    Very clean used book in great condition.

    This is a textbook in perfect condition with absolutely NO written notes, scribbles or doodles in the book. The ONLY way to know that this isn't a totally new textbook is a student's name neatly written on the inside front cover.
