Robert De Niro plays Detective Wayne Dobie a mild mannered crime scene investigator who accidentally saves the life of a mob boss Frank Milo (Bill Murray) who wants to show his gratitude. His aggressive partner who usually protects him is over his head against Frank and his thugs. A gesture of appreciation leads to a showdown between the mild mannered Wayne Dobie and the gangster Frank Milo. Great performances by Robert De Niro, Bill Murray, Uma Thurman and David Caruso. The story is very engaging and keeps you interested. I strongly recommend this movie. SOMEWHERE BETWEEN WARM AND FUZZY AND REALITY
This is not going to leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling but considering the alternaives it is a really good film about something that happens every day with a totally different outcome. In some societies the outcome for the stars would have choked the film off in the first ten minutes. You really need to know that nobody today leaves any witness's after killing somebody. Today nobody as a high end victim leaves a witness that they were a victim either. Just the way it is and has been for a long time. EVERYBODY OVER 70 WILL RELATE TO THIS FILM AND SOME EVEN OVER FIFTY.
