It's compact, highly functional, and even inexpensive. It's a real find! Note: There's a newer model, the Sharp-EL501X2 in black and white at about the same price, but I prefer the EL-501XBGR. It's a smaller, thinner green version, and it's just cool! Capable and cool!

    Super small

    Extremely small calculator. You need to hold it 6 inches from your face to see the display and the buttons. If you have big hands, you're never gonna be able to press a button. Just spend a few more dollars on a TI or a Casio.

    What I expected.

    The calculator is what I expected. It is new old stock. Needed to replace the batteries as it has been around a while. I did not recommend as the calculator you need depends on your use. I need the trig functions and this has what I regularly use located where I want them on the keyboard.

    Sharp EL-501 XBGR Scientific Calculator

    The Sharp EL-501XBGR is a great little inexpensive scientific calculator. It does everything that you need from a scientific calculator. However, it is not programmable nor does it graph. But, for the price, it can do everything you need in high school and college math and science classes.
