This follow-up to Burnout draws its inspiration from such high-octane action films as The Fast and the Furious, Speed, and Bad Boys in an attempt to re-create the same thrills, crashes, and driving skills captured on celluloid. Burnout 2 features six locales based on U.S. regions, including New Mexico, Los Angeles, the Rocky Mountains, a metropolitan airport, and more. The single-player game has been reworked with a new championship mode, where drivers improve their ranking in each event by earning points, and a series of pursuit races where players slip behind the wheel of a police cruiser to ram opponents off the highway.<br><br>A total of 32 stages are available to race across in one of 14 cars, all of which are new. Players can also unlock seven bonus vehicles, from a 1950s hot rod to various stock cars. Each race features variable weather conditions, including rain, snow, and fog, as players attempt to avoid oncoming traffic. To help players refine their technique, "Offensive Driving 101" instructs on the proper ways of weaving through traffic, catching air on jumps, and avoiding collisions. A new damage model allows for a greater variety of crashes than its predecessor, with deformable vehicles showing the effects of impact on doors, bumpers, hoods, and windshields.

    great

    The &amp;amp;amp;quot;snake game&amp;amp;amp;quot; (it has several names) is one of the simplest game concepts ever, and just like Tetris it&amp;amp;amp;apos;s very addictive. There are a lot of variations of this game written in Flash, and this tutorial will explain one way to create it. It&amp;amp;amp;apos;s a relatively easy game to code, but many fail to make sure that when keys are pressed in rapid succession they are all registered. This is necessary if you want to have full control of the snake at all times.

    Burnout 2: Point of Impact for PS2, another great!

    My son started out playing Burnout Revenge on PS2 and loved it. He asked for the other games in the series, and so I got them for him. He loves all the Burnout games, and loves to crash cars. He also likes seeing how the features change throughout the series. For example, the traffic checking is prominent in Burnout Revenge, but not in the others, you wreck if you check cars you are not racing. All in all, a really cool game!

    Plenty of challenges; can’t imagine someone racing in a sedan or truck but ok; the cars zip out in front of you. Fine game for the price.
