  • Good movie, but teens should approach the suicide scene with caution.

I enjoyed this movie. Fast-paced, well-acted, and never a dull moment. Probably fairly accurate in depicting business machinations and high society in 1954. But from a modern standpoint --- yikes! Not all old movies are harmless viewing for children. Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn) tries to commit suicide --- and it's played for laughs! Linus (Humphrey Bogart) is so fixated on his business that he's willing to sacrifice the happiness of his brother, Sabrina, and another young woman in order to secure a business merger. Sabrina herself is no wide-eyed innocent; she is aware that David (William Holden) is engaged, yet sets out to steal him from his fiancee. The love triangle is appropriately resolved for 1954; by today's standards, Sabrina may have wound up with the wrong man. Nowadays, lying ...

  • Remake better than the original, "Sabrina"

Only 3 stars because I compare it to the 1995 remake. Harrison Ford and Julia Ormond are much more believable than Bogie and Hepburn. Julia Ormond simply stole this movie. I'm sure Audry Hepburn would have been just as good as Ormond in the remake. Bogart was miscast in the original. One instance where the remake is much better than the original.

  • A must see classic

I love romance, this is a classic. The characters are charming and really catch your interest. This movie was filmed way before I was born, but I totally love it. The acting is over the top. The new Sabrina while good, does not compare with the original. The characters draw you in, and like I have said I am not from the era when this film was made. I can relate to the characters. This is a must see.
