    Great gun cleaning oil

I purchased this Kroil after reading and hearing many revews on it being used while cleaning guns. Could't find it in any of the usual stores you'd expect to find it in here in Idaho, so I went to my go to spot where I do most of my shopping, eBay. I wasn't disappointed, found a guy selling new cans cheaper than any place else I located it on the web with free shipping as well. Bought 2 cans and like the way it works very well. Make sure to follow directions about using it in a well ventilated area. It does have a strong chemical odor.

  • Loosened 100 year old screw

I needed to remove a screw from a firearm made in 1916 - dated on receiver. Screw was striped on the top so I couldn't get a gunsmith's screwdriver into the slot. Heated the part up and poured Kroil over the top of the screw, did this for about 10 days. Patience is needed doing something like this. I had no way to machine a new slot, so I added some 'tig weld' on top of the screw, vise grip to the weld and out it came. You could see that the Kroil had made its way to the bottom of the screw. I then redid the screw from the tig weld. Kroil does work, but you need to give it time and heat.

  • great product

I am a heavy equipment mechanic.Last week I had a d6r caterpillar to break the master link bolts and the track come off on a strip job where we work.It took us 3 days to get the dozer pulled back up the hill to a flat spot.I usually spend most of the 10 hr shift I work drilling bigger and bigger holes and then using a big easy out before I get the 3/4 inch fine thread x 4 1/2 inch bolts out. This was my first ever use of kroil.I put kroil around them and started drilling.By the time I got up to a 1/4 inch drill bit they were all loose and came out with what is probably the smallest easy out I have ever got to work on those big bolts.I will never be without this stuff again in my service truck

  • Powerful Stuff!

Best penetrating oil I have ever used. I found some antique ironwork in the bottom of a silo that had collapsed decades ago. Didn't think I could get the rusty old bolts out of the casting that was still good. I put some Kroil on it, let it do its thing for a couple of weeks and it came right apart! I was afraid I would ruin it if I used heat or too much force but with Kroil there was no damage! If you work on antiques or corroded metal you need this in your shop. Items that are really bad need to soak for a while, lesser corroded parts are helped instantly. Wouldn't be without it.

  • Able to loosen rusted gears and screws.

I was able to loosen frozen, rusted gears, and screws on an old (over a century) check protector that I've been trying to restore. I was amazed that I was able to do it with relative ease by using the Kano Kroil. I just wish that KK wasn't so expensive. I saw that others had given KK high marks, and that's why I was willing to spend the extra cash on it. Then, I saw a youtube video that compared KK with Liquid Wrench, and LW came out on top. After I saw that video, I was horrible and remorseful that I should've spent my money on WR instead. But I used the KK, and it unfroze the rusted screws and gears with ease. I now want to compare KK with LW and see for myself if LW really does tops KK at a lower price. Stay tuned!
