White bands were filled in with black epoxy in several places, the banding was not colored in others. Not life & Death...But they were a little more than would be considered normal for a new product. Blade was outstanding, as was the leather sheath. Wood in the handle was a high grade wood & finished well. Bandings...eh. When I contacted the seller about the handle, they wrote saying it is hand crafted & that was to be expected. Not a good response
