    Stock tank de-icer

    I bought one of these when my old heater gave up the ghost. I love it and bought one for one of my horsey friends for Christmas. Seems to have encouraged my horses to drink more water. The water in the tank is significantly warmer than with my old heater. I use the float devise, doesn't bother the horses at all and they don't play with it. Cost wise, I've not seen any huge impact to my electric bill.

    Great Stock Tank De-Icer

    We get down to 0-10 degrees a lot and have a 100 gallon tank for our 2 milk cows. This is the first time we've used this type of de-icer and it is perfect. We read that we should be using the 750 watt but the 500 is leaving no ice. The hook that came with it keeps the float pretty much stationary and the girls haven't bothered with it.

    Pond deicer in Boise, Idaho

    I purchased this to keep my 80 gallon plastic pond ice free in order to provide a water source to the wildlife that need a drink every now and then. It has been working just fine now for 3 straight weeks with temperatures getting down to near zero F. I am happy with this and can only recommend it to others.
