    Replacement belt works like new

    The belt replaced a stretched-out original from 1969. It was easy to install. I cleaned off the pulley and the under table on which the belt rides with rubbing alcohol. I lubricated the shaft and bearing, and coated the belt with talcum powder before installation. The turntable works like new.

    Belt is toooo tight

    When I changed belts and tried to play a 45 and an album they played very slow. The belt was way too tight, even though it is recommended for my AR / XA. My only thought is that it is not designed for my older model AR / XA. The belt is very good quality, but unfortunately does not work on all AR / XA models.
