Not as advertised, so-so performance.
While the IR illuminator works quite well, the white 'fill-light' leaves much to be desired. The light is dim and has the yellowish appearance of a flashlight with low batteries. This in spite of a fully charged battery. High output LED's instead of the "halogen incandescent" lamp would be much better. Also, the unit is advertised as '....WITH ROTATING HEAD' and is no such thing. The entire unit is one solid non-rotating piece with no provision of any kind to aim the light output other than straight ahead. For the price, it's not a bad buy, but the low performance of the fill-light and the non-rotating head would have given it only 2 stars instead of 3 were it not for the good performance/output of the IR LED's.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Be AWARE that this specific type of IR light ONLY works with older Sony camcorders (the ones that have Intelligent Accessory Shoe-IA: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009).
