Sennheiser PXC 480 Noise Cancelling Headphones
I purchased these headphones "new, open box" on ebay for about 2/3 of retail price. They were indeed in new condition, and they work well. Sound quality is good. the Noise cancelling is more effective than my previous pair of JVC's. These headphones are strictly wired. The upside to this is that the battery life is extremely long (nominally 50, I have yet to test them for that length of time, but I've done about 40 hours with no problem). There is a feature of the noise cancelling that it has a pass-band around the human vocal range, so these headphones will not suppress the sounds of human speech. This has turned out not to be my favorite thing, but it is an intentional part of the design that some people want.
