I use it on a secondhand refrigerator to hold correct temp while collecting a clutch of eggs over a 10 day period, before incubating. Warmest a refrigerator regulates to is 41 degrees. With this the fridge turns on for a bit to cool if temp gets too warm. It turns off when eggs are between 59 - 65 degrees F. Most backyard chicken hobbyists can't justify a dedicated and SUPER EXPENSIVE egg holder ... this is my expedient answer. I use the "COLD" plug-in for the refrigerator.
