    Sony MDR-IF540RK Wish it was better

    What's good about the Sony MDR-IF540RK infrared headphones: There is no RF interference from portable phones as there is sometimes with the RF types. The headset is comfortable. What is bad about the Sony MDR-IF540RK: The sound to noise ratio is poor compared to the Sennheiser or the Sony Model MDR-IF240R. It is rather annoying to hear background hissing. The Sennheiser TI810 which has excellant sound quality is uncomfortable to wear and the sound quality on the Sony MDR-IF240R is less than desirable. Also, the headset does not register well in the charging cradle. Sometimes it takes several attempts for the headset to be properly registered with the charger.

    Works for me!!

    Bought this item for the wireless feature. I have a 10 mo. old Wolf pup (100 lbs. of pup) and he has a ball with wires. The phones work pretty well. A little short on range but still fills my needs. Very light to wear and fit well.The controls are a bit hard to use when wearing the phones but when adjusted they work. If you are looking for wireless headphones with out in the yard range you should look elsewhere.

    Good headphones overall

    Good headphones, I almost give it a 4.5 rating because I can still hear a little humming sound of interference, but they have a good sound and they are loud and the surround sound is great, battery life is good too. Most people don't know is that you need to change the sound settings on the TV from variable to fixed Audio out, without this you will think there is something wrong with the headphones, by experiencing alot of interference, is not the headphones is you're TV settings, I learn the hard way by going back and forth to radio shack getting diferent kinds of headphones, (RF, IF, bluetooth, etc..) radioshack couldnt figure this out for me.

    Great Headphones

    I bought this product to use it with my computer and works really good, I listen music with excellent quality sound and play some games sometimes and these headphones have a vibration option so I can make my playing experience more exciting.

    It works great for me because of hearing loss.

    This product is great. Cannot hear too well because of hearing loss but when I got it setup I cannot be without it. I can lower the TV volume to zero so as not to disturbed my wife and still able to hear and control my own volume on the headset.
