Recoil pads ROCK!
I used to shoot .30 caliber rifles a lot, grew up with them. Fired M-14s in the military. OK, that dates me. I realize at the age of 65 I will never again be as strong and physically fit as I once was. The good news is that wisdom increases as physical beauty declines. I recently decided to get back to hunting and refurbished one of my old friends, a 1898 Springfield 30-40 Krag, sporterized by my dad in the 1920s. Remembering the jolt it used to give my youthful shoulder made me think of making a few changes. I was looking for one of those shooting vests that had a built in shoulder pad to absorb recoil, in the process, ran across this; it made sense. This product is trying to look like the one you can find in hunting stores. But this is just a bad copy. Pad in self is small, overall size is also small like it was made for teen. I am size 46 and barely can wrap a strap around my body. Product size is XL.

It really makes a difference on your shoulder!
I knew about this recoil absorber through a friend. I borrowed it for one hour to shoot K98 Mauser rifles. What a difference. You do not go home with a sore shoulder. So, now I purchased one. Excellent product.

no more flinch
Bought this for shooting higher power rifles, This does the trick, 20 rounds of close to max loads shooting my 30-06 and shoulder is not even close to tender. would start flinching after seventeen or so rounds, shot today and never flinched. Strap is to short, but it is nothing a couple dollars at the store could not handle and for the price paid is not a problem. Fixing to order one for my son.
