    Yamaha Pacifica 012 great guitar

    I bought an older Yamaha Pacifica 012 at a swap meet, the guy had it hanging in his game room for 10 years on the wall. He was not even a guitar player. I paid $100 for it when I saw how worn the neck finish was in the back and how worn the frets were.. Worn frets all the way up the neck and a hand oil stained neck means, someone loved this guitar for years. You can’t love a guitar that does not play and sound well. So I bought this very worn guitar. Took it home and took it apart went through it cleaned it, had to replace the input jack with a switch craft for under five dollars, had to clean the pots, because this guitar hung on the wall not in a case.The neck was straight, the intonation was right on, the tuners held it in tune, this guitar has a fast narrow neck.     Great cost/benefit ratio for this guitar,

    I wanted to get a good electric guitar for a budget, there's a lot of guitar makers with great combos offers, awesome styles, and various pickups configurations all with different prics. The Pacifica012 has good reputation, it has a single-single-humbucker configuration that makes it versatile and will fit most of the rythms and playing styles. The guitar looks and sound great, it's perfect for beginers -like me- great price, excellent brand. The humbucker was a little loose, but I fixed it with a screwdriver.

    Yamaha PAC a pleasure to play!

    Love this guitar! Haven't played for years but this guitar inspired me to get at it again. Adjusted the action to my preference with no issue. Haven't played through an amp yet, but if the quality of the pickups is as good as the rest, it should be great!
