Quality catcher!
I was thinking of buying that 40$ version with the pic rail, but I'm glad I didn't. This one attaches to the rail via Velcro, and is very easy to adjust and setup. It's sturdy and for me held up to 30-40 rounds. If your running a scoped rifle is this the best bet. I run a low scope mount so the pic rail wouldn't of fit between the rail and optic. Would buy again! Just make sure when setting up, it covers the ejecting port without obstructions. Not the one in the picture
So I ordered this brass catcher after using one of my friends, but what I got is not the same one in the picture. It's a cheap knock off. The velcro and opening are fine but the canvas upper on the bag has no stiffness to it so after a few rounds they start to get stuck in the top of the bag. You need to turn the rifle sideways and shake it. Order this from someone else and if you do get the Caldwell one, they work great.So I ordered this brass catcher after using one of my friends, but what I got is not the same one in the picture. Fantastic new product!!!!!!
To begin, I reload. For the past 35 years of shooting at the range I have spent more time searching the ground for the brass that my many ar-15 kicked out. Sometimes this became an embarrasment because I would be searching for my brass around the shooting station of another shooter. You can only imagine the problems that this caused. One time it almost started a fight when the other guy thought I was trying to mess with his firearms. Other times I would end up loosing all my brass as the range policy discouraged or forbid the collecting of brass. Some ranges just want to double dip, charge for the use of the range then collect your spent brass for resale. I am also very selective about my brass. I collect my brass every time before I change firearms. This insures that I have fire formed ... To begin, I reload. I can almost tell if which case came from which rifle. The last 20 times I have been to the range I used this brass catcher. It fit my rifles perfectly and save me countless hours of serching for brass all over the range. I truely wish this product had been invented about 30 years ago. I love this product and will recommend it for any owner of the Black Rifle. As a post script, may all those people who call an ar-15 an "assault rifle" have thier tounges fall out. The M16 i carried in Vietnam for 14 months was an "Assault Rifle". There is a big difference. I enjoy shooting. The AR-15 is fun to shoot because of its very light recoil and its very low reloading cost.

Much stronger bag than I thought I was buying.
I emptied two thirty round clips in this bag back to back in full auto. I had flames shooting out the bag on the second clip. The bag did not burn or melt, or leave any kind of visual damage. ( Not what I expected ) Also this bag will hold at the least 120 spent rounds of .223. That 60 rounds didn't even fill it half way.

Brand name and worth it!
I have never written a review before... but this item is so cool. As a hand loader I was digging my empties out of the snow when i could find them. It has fit everything from Rem 742 to Ruger .44 carbine. It is well made and I expect it to last and save me money in the long run!
