    Waaay better the the 1st generation.

    I’ve had two of the first generation m18 hole hawks. They were great drills, but were always just not powerful enough. This new second generation models seems great so far. Seems to be more powerful by a fair amount. As an electrical contractor doing mostly high end, large scale residential wiring, this new drill is exactly the right tool for the job. Light weight, powerful and of course... Milwaukee “heavy duty” tough! These drills are optimized to be use with the 6.0 “high output” batteries. Buy both the drill and the batteries... you won’t regret it!
