Very solid, more than expected. Alarm can vary in volume but is mostly as loud as advertised. Lock is advertised as "requiring batteries". My 2 arrived in sturdy boxes, each including 6 deteriorated batteries but don't be put off because the locks themselves each also contained preinstalled good batteries. I'm a private buyer so I can't promise you'll get likewise but my two were as advertised PLUS 6 preinstalled working batteries. Seller is very helpful. So all exceeded expectations.
