    That Darn Cat

This a very funny movie, a classic Disney film from the mid 60s. Excellent for young children and very entertaining for adults. Very little violence and no bad language. The movie is filled with a plethora of character actors from that era giving each an opportunity to display their unique comedic skills.

  • the CAT steals the show and solves the crime~

one of Walt Disneys BEST~ I recall seeing this as a child and the line was around the bock~ it was a big hit for Disney~ Teenager Hailey Mills as the girl and CAT owner DC (name of cat is DC for DARN CAT) a siamese who is very smart. always stealing food from the neighbors and causing major problem by his nightly prowling for food and adventure. DC wanders up to a KIDNAPPED woman (Grayson Hall from Dark Shadows) as a bank teller kidnapped by 2 hoods..she scratches a message on the back of her watch and puts it around the cats neck and off he goes to an owner with her with plenty of imagination~ ... of the cat helping solve the crime~ Toss in PRISSY and very prim Roddy MacDowell as the neighbor trying to date Hailey Mills sister and we add to the fun~ ADD nosey neighbor Elsa Lanchester ...

  • That Darn Cat still up to his old tricks

I love this movie, a cute flashback to my youth in 1965. "That Darn Cat" is a funny, charming movie suitable for the whole family that will have many baby boomers such as myself yearning for a much simpler time. On his nightly quest for anything edible, D.C. wreaks havoc in his neighborhood and ultimately helps save a woman kidnapped by bank robbers. "Dark Shadows" fans will recognize Grayson Hall in the role as the captive bank teller. A youthful Haley Mills and popular Dean Jones in their Disney heydey lead the capable cast which also includes Dorothy Provine, Roddy McDowell, William Demarest (Uncle Charlie from "My Three Sons"), and the great comedic talent, Ed Wynn. Other notables are Neville Brand ("Laredo"), impressionist Frank Gorshin, as the bad guys, plus "The Bride of ...

  • That Darn Cat! (2005, DVD)

This movie is one that I had seen several years ago--one that was popular when my mother was young--and I remembered it as being a very good one, so I wanted to acquire a copy for my collection. I am giving this Disney Movie an "Excellent" rating for several reasons. One is that the main star in this movie is a cat (named "DC"), and I love cats! Also, this movie is truly a family movie--very "clean" with no curse words, vulgar language, nudity, or sex scenes; therefore, it is suitable for people of all ages, including young children. It is certainly nice to see a movie that doesn't contain any of the "trash" that many movies contain these days. This movie is a wonderful comedy--and well-acted, starring not only "DC," the Siamese cat, but also Haley Mills, Dorothy Provine, Roddy McDowall, ...

  • Great DVD

This was one of my favorite movies as a child. I wanted to share the original version of this movie with my friends' kids. It's a great DVD. We've watched it several times. We haven't had any problems viewing it or anything like that. The best thing about buying this product is being able to share the innocence of the 1960s with my friends' kids. They like the movie, but don't understand a lot of the references. So we (their parents and I) had fun explaining those to them. The quality of the DVD is excellent. No problems or anything. It's what the movie has given us (an opportunity to share our childhood memories with a new generation) that makes this product awesome. Thanks.
