The advantage of this unit over others is the female receptacles are copper and not cast plastic. Copper is much more robust. The package included two different types of teflon tape which is a mistake. The wider and thicker teflon tape was far superior to the thinner and narrower tape. I wrapped the male copper fittings 12-15 times and then smeared fresh pipe dope on top of the teflon tape and inside the female copper receptacles. No leaks. The vendor was responsive to my questions and helpful.
