    Great little lens-does not work on zoom lenses!!

    I was a little leery, this lens being as cheap as it is, but it works very well. Sharp image, extends the range of my Canon EFS-18-55mm lens. Very heavy duty, surprisingly well constructed for the price. Warning though-it will not work on zoom lenses such as an EFS 75-300mm or 55-250mm. All in all, a great value and addition to my camera bag.

    B WARNed Proxima Lens 0.45x Wide angle, WON'T FIT Fuji S5100 as advertized.

    I still have a Fuji Fine Pix S5100; I love the camera- it has ample 6mp which is really all i need for album shot size anyway. I recently purchased a 45x Wide angle lens so i could use it to enhance and encompass alot of the room size of the House when taking pictures. The lens arrived with No hassle in shipping time. But when i tried to fit the lens with the camera- It just would Not accomodate the threads, even with the ring attachments it came with. I ended up fabricating a mold to re- create the threads on the extension tube onto the wide angle lens using fiber glass resin, I sculpted it and sanded it painted it black. It fits well and is able to secure the lens- But i still get a black round shadow now (which i think is dramatic anyway) when i take photos.
