I am a long time Zippo fan. Ive always had at least one in my bag. The longest i had one was 30 years! This arc lighter was my second arc lighter. The first was a competitors model. This insert ( when in a case), works really well. I love the double tap feature, so there's no accidental fireing while in your bag--or pocket. The arc is bright and strong, especially when I compare it with a competitors arc lighter. Being a women with long hair, I apreaciate how there is little danger of ignighting my hair if blown in the way! It really does stay lit in a heavy wind, but the arc will dance around on you..lol. I love mine, I put it into a vintage case I have.. looks great I think! It's also great not having to worry about any flints, or fluid. Charges in a couple of hours... charge lasts me about 3 days of smoking. All in all, the arc lighter is an awesome choice.. my opinion..

Great if you need it.
Nice clean alternative to smelly fluid lighters. Even more windproof than the great fluid Zippo. Had to try several Zippo shells before before I found a good fit. Charge does not last very long [especially with the constant, "Hey, let me try that!"] . It was pretty cool until the novelty wore off. Threw it in with all my other Zippo stuff and went back to BICs. It's now just another thing my kids will sell for 50¢ at the DAD-GOT-DEAD-FROM-SMOKING sale.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Elevates a Zippo lighter to a high tech level with no fluid required
I never carried a ZIppo lighter because the lighter fluid irritated my leg. These inserts take Zippo lighters to a new high tech level. Lighter fluid is not required. It lights paper as soon as the dual crossover arcs touch a piece of paper. Charges easy via USB with a blue light indicator to readily show the charging status. A Zippo for the 21st Century
The lighter works great, especially if you need to light that half cigarette you had to put out unexpectedly. It took 2 hours to charge out of the box, but it normally takes @45 mins to charge it with my daily useage. I haven't tried using it in the wind, so no comment on that. My only complaint is that you have to buy a case separately if you don't have one, and the cases cost as much as a regular old Zippo lighter.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
